UPDATED: Not even an opium-smoking octegenarian can stop 2001, which will face either a nitrate-inhaling Dennis Hopper or a raw meat-munching Mia Farrow in the final round. It's nice to see Harold and Maude make it this far - a little heart can go a long way (especially if it's delivered in a hearse).
Oh man, this is definitely another tough call. I love both of these, but for entirely different reasons. Right now though I'll go with Harold and Maude over 2001. But if you asked me again in 5 minutes, I could very easily change my mind.

ReplyDeleteThese choices get harder and harder as we narrow 'em down. I'd have to go with 2001.
ReplyDelete2001: A Space Odyssey
ReplyDelete2001 all the way, baby.
ReplyDeleteHarold and Maude is a great film. But 2001 is great art, period. I vote for the Kubrick.
