(Jack here. Google Beta Blogger bullshit is really getting on my nerves on this slow phone line)

Hey, awesome!

Got a kick out of the Transcript article too. Although I still retain that "It's A Wonderful Life" isn't actually a Christmas movie, it's a dark, humanistic story with a sense of redemption at the end, which, like "Edward Scissorhands", is set during the Christmas season. All your choices are great, though. "Gremlins" is definatley essential holiday viewing.

BTW, the link to the article is broken, it comes up as "http://http//thetranscript.com...." (no semicolon)

Hope you had a good one and see you at New Year's.

Jack: I agree that It's a Wonderful Life is great and works outside of the context of Christmas, which is part of why I find the ad nauseum repeats so annoying. It turns cinema from spiritual expression to formal religious worship. But I made it a little less esoteric for the article, because, you know, the Transcript. Thanks for catching the link, it's fixed now.

Jess: That you are. Have you played it with the song? You can cue it to your mouth (that sounds weird, but I can't think of a better way to say it). It's very beautiful.
