We're supposed to guess the movie? Seems like something by Kitano or Seijun Suzuki. Am I hot or cold? Actually, the picture quality seems a little more '70s, so maybe it's from then or it's a modern movie going for that feel...
Regarding the "Play the Game (3/6/08)" caption: that is from David Lynch's 'Dune', right? A wonderful image and composition - and one he would later use again, with a slight variation, during the opening montage of 'Blue Velvet'. Love your Blog, Vodalus
Well, if you insist...how about von Stroheim's "Greed"? My favorite one of all time. When I'm feeling despondent about movies I put that bad boy in the VCR and a couple of hours later all my hopes are restored. Such fabulous images of craving and squalor! Way, way ahead of its time. But I wonder if it is still a relevant film. Maybe not. Seems like less and less people think of it at all these days. Well, that's my suggestion. Thanks for asking and best regards. Vodalus
Cool choice. It might take me a while to find a video store that carries it, but I look forward to seeing it (I tried to watch it years ago, but it was just too much for my 10-year-old attention span).

Cold all around.

Is it from Blue Velvet?
Vodalus is right - it's Dune. Good call on the echo of Blue Velvet, I hadn't noticed that before.
Oh, and what film would you like me to write about, Vodalus?

That's Dune baby. Right after the heart plug was pulled.
