UPDATED: Not even an opium-smoking octegenarian can stop 2001, which will face either a nitrate-inhaling Dennis Hopper or a raw meat-munching Mia Farrow in the final round. It's nice to see Harold and Maude make it this far - a little heart can go a long way (especially if it's delivered in a hearse).

Oh man, this is definitely another tough call. I love both of these, but for entirely different reasons. Right now though I'll go with Harold and Maude over 2001. But if you asked me again in 5 minutes, I could very easily change my mind.
These choices get harder and harder as we narrow 'em down. I'd have to go with 2001.

2001 all the way, baby.
Harold and Maude is a great film. But 2001 is great art, period. I vote for the Kubrick.
