Such a great film. I'm not much of a horror fan, but The Thing I absolutely love. Its setup and execution of the "everyone is a suspect, even though you thought you could trust" scenario is one of the best I've seen.
It also has one of the best timed F-bombs ever near the end.
It was always weird when I was growing up to see aging commercial pitch-men playing bad guys in movies. Not just Brimley either- there was joke in my house where every time one of those car commercials with Ricardo Montalban came on, someone would say, "buy a Chrysler or I'll put a bug in your ear!"
